Job Description:

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS + 8 yrs related experience.

Electronic Classroom Systems Integrator Specifically: Manages day to day IT operations and ensures streamlined operations in alignment with business objectives. Acts as technical guide and monitors and supports network equipment, servers, workstations and other resources for integrity and anomalies and performance and takes corrective actions to eliminate or minimize user impact. Verifies completion of scheduled jobs such as software installations, patches, hotfixes, updates and backups for disaster recovery purposes. Troubleshoots problems and provides exceptional customer service by communicating complex concepts to non-technical user’s which include leadership, management and staff members. In addition, provides cyber security support for site personnel, information systems and applications and ensures the integrity of data and systems, security of confidential information, and protection of physical property.

ITSS provides support across the MPTE/NETC enterprise (26,000 desktops), including IT services and support for training activities and commands including NETC, BUPERS Millington, PEO-EIS/PMW-240, Training Support Centers and Detachments. NETC fulfills its geographically dispersed support functions throughout the U.S. The NETC hub site is in Pensacola, FL, with major locations in Norfolk, VA; San Diego, CA; Great Lakes, IL; Newport, RI and Groton, CT.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 & Microsoft Windows 7/10 operating systems; Microsoft Office 2010; DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides; Nessus Vulnerability Scanner; McAfee HBSS, Symantec Management Platform and Symantec Backup Exec. 2015.

Strong technical and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task prioritize; work independently and/or in a team environment.

Prefer 5 to 7 years’ experience managing and maintaining enterprise environments.

Secret clearance is required.

DoD 8570 IAT Level II GSEC or Security +CE or SSCP or CCNA-Security. Certification must be received within the past three years in order to be considered current and eligible to work on a Government site.
