About the Agency
The selectee for this position will serve as a Housing Management Assistant in Family Housing (FH) at NAVAL AIR STATION LEMOORE.
The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
- Contact housing personnel to plan or coordinate management functions to assist in maximizing resources for maintenance, repairs, or inspections.
- Develop internal operating procedures related to housing assignment, termination and referral to establish guidelines for the housing staff.
- Counsel customers regarding housing issues that may include: occupancy, maintenance, or technical requirements.
- Occasional Travel
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. Must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Relocation expenses (i.e. PCS) or relocation incentives as described in 5 USC 5753 may be authorized in accordance with applicable travel regulations.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing wait list management and housing referral services for military personnel and DoD civilians. 2) Preparing housing correspondence and reports; 3) Providing information to staff and tenants on housing procedures and requirements (e.g. rent ranges, income limits, housing admissions). Generally, current Federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
