ABOUT THE POSITION:
Under the supervision of the San Joaquin County Regional Director, provide clinical treatment for people who have mental/emotional disabilities in a variety of treatment programs throughout Northern California. The Regional Clinical Specialist is responsible for overseeing all matters relating to client-related/clinical issues in compliance with: 1) state and federal regulations; 2) Anka Behavioral Health, Inc. Policies and Procedures; and 3) contractual agreements. This is an exempt position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide timely and accurate documentation of all clinical services.
Provide time - limited clinical services ( including; clinical and crisis assessment, individual, family, group and family therapy and treatment planning) for various treatment programs throughout the Region.
Facilitate a positive, integrated, cohesive and supportive treatment approach and attitude among all program personnel.
Establish and maintain linkages with community programs and set up problem solving sessions when needed.
Ensure that all clients are actively and strategically involved in the development and implementation of their individual treatment and discharge plans.
Develop and provide clinical training to other clinicians in the Region at least quarterly.
Professional License Required: LCSW or MFT or Licensed Psychologist - current licensed in California, in a good standing, or License eligible, MFTi or Post- doc
Education Required: Master’s degree in psychology or in social, health, behavioral sciences or related field.
Experience Preferred: Four (4) years experience in mental health work; at least two (2) years in a community-based mental health setting; two (2) years experience in medi-cal billing. Experience in crisis residential treatment is an asset. Bi-cultural/bi-lingual experience is an asset.
Must possess a valid California Driver's License - Class C; good driving record. Proof of current auto insurance and must meet insurability requirements of our insurance carrier.
