Reporting to the Supervising Clinical Informaticist I, tr designee, this position provides clinical informatics services and education to individuals, physicians, departments and agencies that are a part of SAMC, in the use of the electronic medical record and other clinical information systems. The incumbent participates in the assessment of needs pertaining to clinical information systems, including hardware, software, physician services and ambulatory support. This role provides content expertise that supports care area teams in the development of process flows, order sets and online forms. Also included is participation in systems testing and analysis of informatics connectivity.
Job Description Details:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Bachelors Degree in a health related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Valid California driver's license is required.
Excellent organizational, presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required.
Minimum proficiency in Windows, basic computing, and spreadsheet management is required.
A minimum of two years clinical informatics experience is preferred.
Experience in Excel, Word, Visio, Captivate and Cerner applications is preferred.
