WSP is currently initiating a search for an Engineering Task Managerfor our Fresno office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Task Manager monitors and manages schedules, and right-of-way activities that are necessary for the timely acquisition of all property rights required to get construction schedules and other transportation purposes. Responsible for processing ACQ packages, Construction Memos’ and other documents associated with the Acquisition of parcels.
Under general direction the Assistant Task Manager completes high-level focused assignments while applying standard right-of-way practices including analyzing situations accurately and adopting an effective course of action, interpreting legal issues in regards to real property, and interpreting state and federal law in accordance with Uniform Acquisition, Relocation Assistance & Property Management Policies and Procedures.
The Task Manager provides liaison between the design functions and Right-of-Way group, giving guidance to a construction package right-of-way consultant(s) in order to deliver right-of-way on schedule to the design builder as planned.
The Task Manager prepares project status reports, including Managers Report to Executive Staff. Enters data, tracking, reviewing and assigning tasks through the Authority’s database Talent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a similar, relevant discipline and/or equivalent years of experience
At least 10 years of experience working as a right of way transportation Real Estate Sr Property Agent or Supervisor on major projects, having at least 100 parcels.
General Knowledge of and familiar with principles and techniques of quality management, performance, improvement, team building and customer service.
Must know laws, rules and policies of the state and federal government relating to real estate acquisitions, relocation assistance, property management, eminent domain, and financial functions and requirements.
Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals, management, employees, stakeholders, public organizations, other state agencies and elected officials.
Perform effectively under rigid time constraints and pressure.
Ability to analyze complex problems and recommend effective courses of action.
