Description:

Position Summary: The Lead Storeroom Person’s primary responsibility is to maintain the inventory of the storeroom to enhance the flow of the kitchen. The Lead Storeroom person supplies kitchen staff with the inventory in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary environment. Also, responsible for the setup, service and cleaning of storeroom area as directed by the Executive Chef in accordance with Aramark standards and safety and sanitation policies.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers

  • Performs computerized inventory and ordering.

  • Receive, store, and issue food service supplies and materials

  • Supervise Storeroom Person in general storeroom activities.

  • Maintain records of receipts, issuances, invoices, and stock levels of supplies.

  • Perform stock keeping and clerical duties related to the maintenance of sufficient supplies of various items in a food service department, and prepares requisitions to replenish needed supplies.

  • Maintain a clean and well stocked storeroom according to standards set by Aramark

  • Utilize email to communicate with vendors, managers, and others.

  • Ensure a safe and professional environment and monitors use of chemicals.

  • Inspects kitchen, storeroom and associated culinary traffic areas to ensure they are neat, clean and orderly, and to ensure sufficient supplies are on hand.

  • Work with a diverse team

  • Process return stock on a daily basis and perform general maintenance of storeroom

  • Must be able to lead, motivate and relate to others.

  • Must be well groomed and be able to deal with students/guests courteously and efficiently

  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • 6 months Storeroom or equivalent experience

  • Supervisory experience preferred

  • Must have ability to supervise operation

  • Must have valid Aramark Food Handler’s Certification

  • Must have completed the Aramark Food Sanitation class and the Aramark Back Injury Prevention class

  • Must have knowledge of all hot and cold food stations

  • Must be able to multitask and function in a professional manner under pressure from guests and/or supervisors

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well is desired

  • Must be flexible – willing to work a rotational schedule with rotational days off that may include weekends and holidays

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment

Travel Requirements: Little or No Travel (>10%)

Lifting Requirements: HEAVY - Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects. Ability to transport 300 pound using a cart.
