Responsible for managing and coordinating Consulting firm account service activities and new business activities as the primary customer contact for Consulting firms for the retention of National Accounts. Typical group size is 3,000 or more eligible or enrolled subscribers. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to the following: * Defines and oversees the execution of Consultant management and associated growth strategy for a defined set of Consulting firms. * Identifies opportunities for Consultant education to drive additional sales opportunities. * Supports pursuit of new business opportunities either directly with a broker/consultant or potential client. * Responsible for educating Consultants about Specialty Business. * Provides support for field sales staff and Consulting Relations VP. * Executes complex projects involving multiple disciplines and internal Anthem departments. * Develops business relationships with brokers, consultants, and key decision makers in order to meet or exceed new and renewal sales targets. * Manages the annual process for Consultant meetings and education , including education on new products and services, bringing the correct Anthem team members in at the appropriate time, establishing regular call cadence and managing meeting attendance and agendas. * Coordinates Anthem activities with Consortium Health Plan activities (CHP). * Works directly with Sales Account Representatives / Account Service Representatives and Account Management to assure that all aspects of Consulting firm relations run smoothly.
- Requires a BA/BS; 4 years of experience in account management, project management or sales; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Sales license required where necessary.
- Requires excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to manage complex projects.
