CB&I Federal Services Field Engineer in Lemoore, California
APTIM provides a variety of engineering and construction services for the Department of Defense fueling facilities worldwide. These services include the following: Facility assessment, inspection, design | Leak detection and tightness testing | API 570/653 inspections | Aboveground (AST) and underground storage tank (UST) and pipeline removal, upgrade, construction | Fuel pipe fabrication, installation capabilities | Maintenance and repair services | Hydrant and mechanical systems assessment, removal, construction | Tactical motor pool installation and upgrade | Rail load- and off-load facilities | Truck fill- and off-load installation | Containment area design and construction | Bulk fuel transfer pump stations.
APTIM has opened a Field Engineer position serving our existing construction contract at NAS Lemoore. Field Engineers will report to the Field Project Engineer in the collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering calculations.
May also support procurement and construction phases or projects with engineering knowledge and experience. Performs other duties as required.
Serve full time at project site reporting to the Field Project Engineer.
Coordinate internally with other execution disciplines and external suppliers both within Company prescribed policies/procedure and/or direction from the Field Project Engineer
Review and interpretation of project specifications, preparation of project drawings and scope of work documents and completion of construction inspection.
Complete requests for information (RFI), submittal review and materials selection activities for the construction project.
Independently evaluates, selects and uses standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for technical projects.
Gather approved required documents and information to support the successful completion of relevant construction activities/requirements.
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Must possess a minimum of 0-2 years direct experience on construction of industrial plant projects.
Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with groups outside of Construction Engineering and the company
Advanced ability to resolve problems and seek assistance if necessary
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office application suite
