TRC Companies Senior Construction Manager/Planner, EPC Power in SELMA, California

Job Overview:

The Construction Planner is responsible for the planning, preparation, coordination, and maintenance of the EPFC Project Schedule and is the custodian of the schedule. The project team owns the schedule and is responsible for meeting the project execution plan.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Understand contract requirements - coordinate the project team input to schedule
  • Support development of all levels of the project schedule
  • Coordinate development and approval of the project baseline schedule
  • Coordinate development of weekly "look-ahead" schedules
  • Manage implementation of the monthly updates and critical path schedule analysis
  • Participate in schedule review meetings
  • Promptly notify project team of issues and concerns
  • Analyze and report schedule impacts
  • Facilitate the overall work integration planning progress
  • Participate in planning sessions of the project
  • Perform "what-if" analysis and incorporate changes on the schedule
  • Facilitate development and implementation of all schedule recovery plans
  • Manage the incorporation of the standard schedule templates in the project development process
  • Manage, analyze, and report on the schedule risk analysis process on projects
  • Manage and analyze the schedule quality analysis process of projects
  • Coordinate the schedule/progress alignment process
  • Interface with clients and other project stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

  • Full EPC cycle project experience as a planner
  • Construction/field experience required
  • Must be proficient in P6
  • Must understand and have experience in system and subsystem sequence/handover/completion
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in preparation and analysis of project schedules
  • Experience in analyzing project schedule performance, utilizing sound schedule quality metrics and schedule risk analysis techniques
  • Effective facilitation of interactive planning sessions experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance OR applicable years of work experience
  • 5-10+ years of Planning/Scheduling experience OR related experience in Engineering, Procurement, or Construction (EPC) Planning and Scheduling
  • Power Delivery EPC experience required.
  • Fuse experience is a plus
  • Microsoft Access experience preferred
