The Controller will be a full-time employment opportunity and will be located in the Visalia, California region. To succeed in this role, you will need to plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. Responsibilities - Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll - Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management - Evaluate, apply and refine policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies - Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques - Comfortable handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties - Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective - Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis - Review deliverables of self and team to align with client expectations - Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the yearly budget and forecasts - Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required - Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports For more information contact Tyler Houk on LinkedIn! https://www.linkedin.com/in/tyler-houk-0592aa85/

Requirements: - Self-starter and strong ethical standards - 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred - CPA/MBA preferred - Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines - Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued - Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement - Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment - Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds - Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions - Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired - Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired - BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field - Budget forecasting experience desired - Adeptness in Famous - Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger - General familiarity with fixed assets - Command of Microsoft Excel - Financial statement preparation experience preferred - Experience with job costing - Proficiency in financial analysis
